Tech to Protect
It is so important that you keep your own and your client’s personal data safe during the entire mortgage journey, from initial enquiries through to the full mortgage application as well as upon completion and beyond.
Throughout the mortgage application we use some additional technologies to help the case progress as efficiently as possible and we wanted to share these with you as well as how they work, so you and your landlord clients know what to expect.
- ID-Pal – App based verification system which sends a direct link out to the applicant allowing ID documents to be verified easily.
- Applicant will be sent an email or text asking them to download the app.
- Once downloaded they will see a request from KPF asking them to fill in some personal details, take a picture of their ID document and a selfie.
- All information will then be sent directly to KPF allowing us to efficiently satisfy all ID verifications.
- DocuSign – This is used for any mortgage offer and direct debit mandates where we require a signature from the applicant(s).
- Your client will receive an email from DocuSign sent by us and will include a button to the document.
- They will then be directed to a SMS authentication page, in which they will receive a verification code to enter.
- Once this has been completed, they will be able to review and sign the document.
A confirmation email will then be sent across to them once the signature has been completed.
- Payment Link – This is powered by Barclays and is housed within our online broker portal to allow you or the applicant to pay fees directly and securely using two factor authentication. You can find a step by step guide on how to use this here.
